“Return visit to the Waterfront Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 May 2012 NEW
Just had to go back to this hotel as first experience was so good. Was missing the lovely food. At the Waterfront Bistro, I indulged in a seafood fest - Langoustine, Lobster, King Prawns and Giant Scallops! The rest of my family indulged in the steak and duck dishes! I wish I had a restaurant like this closer to home. Sipping my cappuccino on the Waterfront Hotel terrace overlooking the peaceful scenic sea view of Portpatrick is good for the soul and after a short relaxing break in this Scottish gem, I am totally rejuvenated and ready to take on the world again that is my day job! Stayed in the cottage - delightful! Cant wait for next visit!

We loved our stay at The Waterfront. Everything you would expect of a well managed hotel and more. Great welcome, spotless, cosy accommodation, harbour view, fluffy towels and crisp bed linen, top quality full Scottish breakfast with real orange juice and lovely fresh fruit. We enjoyed our evening meal also in the Bistro Bar. Portpatrick is a wonderful unspoiled coastal village and really has that get away from it all vibe. If you like boats, lighthouses, stunning cliff walks, cosy cafe's, quirky craft shops and a friendly atmosphere then you won't be disappointed.

This was my 5th stay at the Waterfront Hotel and like the past 4 it was nothing but first class service as usual. The food is excellent and good value and the bar is a nice place to relax and have a drink with the other residents. The rooms are spotlessly clean.
The warm welcome you get from David, Geraldine and Anne makes you feel right at home. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Thanks to all the staff at the Waterfront for a great weekend and see you all next year.

spent 2 nights at this wonderful hotel staff and hosts were superb very caring and helpful, food was excellent room was clean and of an adequate size. The surrounding area is stunning and has something for everyone. Visited the Logan fish pool where the guide was really good and gave an exceptionally interesting history of the pool ( he only works weekends). The Logan botanic gardens are also worth a visit. you cannot miss the views from the mull of Galloway simply stunning. all in all a great weekend and thank you to David and Geraldine for a great time.

We returned to the Waterfront hotel for a golf weekend. If you are looking for first class service, excellent food at reasonable prices and as warm a welcome as you are likely to wish for, then this is the hotel to book. David and Geraldine are perfect hosts and Anne could not do enough to make our stay more pleasurable. The restaurant is lovely, the bar is well stocked and the rooms are very clean. It's also nice to have a power shower too. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Well done to everybody at the Waterfront and thank you so much for lovely weekend.

We returned to the Waterfront Hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday, it was like returning to visit "family", the welcome we got is always of the highest standard. We stayed for 3 nights and we couldn't have picked a better weekend, the weather was like the French Riviera, we sat outside the hotel every day when we returned from an outing and sampled local ales and food. David and Geraldine organized an evening to remember for my wife's birthday. My wife's parents also joined us for the birthday dinner and they were very impressed by the hospitality shown. The food was cooked to the highest standard and served by friendly staff. We have never been disappointed when we visit The Waterfront Hotel, so much so, we have booked for the New Year.
